Earl of Thannet's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Thomas Earl of Thannet, and the Honourable Sackville Tuffton his Brother, to make a Lease for Sixty Years of Thannet House, in the Parish of St. Botolph's, Aldersgate, to commence after the Remainder of a Term of 31 Years now in being, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass.

Ordered, That Mr. Christy do carry the Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed to the same, without any Amendments.

The Lords have agreed to the Amendment made by this House to the Bill, intituled, An Act for Payment of the Debts of George Turner Esquire, deceased.

C. Turner's Estate.

And also, They have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for settling the Inheritance of some Parts of the Estate of Charles Turner Esquire, which lie dispersed, in himself and his Heirs; and settling an entire Estate, of greater Value, in lieu thereof, to the Uses the said other Parts of his Estate were settled; without any Amendments.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Encouraging Privateers.

Ordered, That the Bill for the better Encouragement of Privateers be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Privilege—Reflections on a Member.

The House being informed, That Mr. Jacob Hubland and Mr. William Soader attended according to Order;

They were called in; and examined touching the Complaints made against them.

And, being withdrawn;

Edward Collins and his Wife were also called in; and examined as to the Complaint against the said Mr. William Soader.

And then they withdrew.

And it appearing to the House, That Mr. William Soader had affirmed and reported, That Sir Francis Massam, a Member of this House, was a Pensioner;

Resolved, That the same is a false and scandalous Reflection on this House, and on Sir Francis Massam.

Ordered, That the said Mr. William Soader be taken into Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for affirming and reporting the said false and scandalous Reflection.

Ordered, That the said Mr. Hubland be di charged from further Attendance.

Supply Bill; Duties on Salt, Beer, &c.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for granting to their Majesties certain Rates and Duties upon Salt, and upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for securing certain Recompences and Advantages, in the said Bill mentioned, to such Persons as shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Ten hundred thousand Pounds, towards carrying on the War against France.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Tho. Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Tho. Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had made a further Progress in the Matter to them referred; and had directed him to move, That they might have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the said Bill.
