G. Turner's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act for Payment of the Debts of George Turner Esquire, deceased, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass.

Ordered, That Sir Richard Onslow do carry the Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed to the same, with an Amendment: To which Amendment they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

Brent's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Trustees to sell Part of the Estate of Nathaniel Brent Gentleman, deceased, to raise Money for Payment of his Debts, and Maintenance of his Children, who are Infants, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Steven's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for Sale of the Estate of William Stevens, deceased, for Payment of the Mortgage thereupon; and applying the Overplus for the Benefit of his Sons, who are Infants; was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for Sale of the Estate of Wm. Stevens Gentleman, deceased, for Payment of the Mortgage thereupon; and applying the Overplus for the Benefit of his Sons, who are Infants.

Ordered, That Colonel Perry do carry the Bill to the Lords; and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Disfranchising Stockbridge Borough.

Mr. Smith reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill to disable the Borough of Stockbridge, in the County of Southampton, from sending Burgesses to serve in Parliament for the future, was committed, That they had made several Amendments to the Bill; and which they had directed him to report to the House; and which he read in in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were read.

Ordered, That this House will, upon Thursday Morning next, take into Consideration the said Report.

Protestants Nat.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Thursday Morning next, after the said Report is over, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for the Naturalization of such Protestants as shall take the Oaths to their Majesties, and the Test against Popery.

Importing Saltpetre.

Ordered, That the ingrossed Bill for the Importation of Saltpetre be read the Third time upon Monday Morning next.

Encouraging Privateers.

Ordered, That the Bill for the Encouragement of Privateers be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

London Orphans Fund.

Mr. Hungerford reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill for the Relief of the Orphans of the City of London was committed, That they had considered the several Petitions to them referred; and had made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House; and which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

An Amendment was proposed to be made to the Bill, by inserting the Name of Samuel Hutchinson, as concerned in the Lights:

And the Question being put, That the said Samuel Hutchinson's Name be inserted;

It passed in the Negative.

Another Amendment was proposed to be made in the Bill, by inserting the Name of Arthur Moore, as concerned in the Lights:

And the Question being put, That the said Arthur Moore's Name be inserted;

It passed in the Negative.

Another Amendment was proposed to be made, by striking out the Name of * Chiswell, and inserting instead thereof, "Philipp Neve:"

And the same was, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House; and the Bill amended accordingly.

A Clause was offered to be added to the Bill, touching the Right of Samuel Hutchinson:

And the same was twice read, and amended by the House.

And the Question being put, That the Clause be made Part of the Bill;

Another Clause was offered to be added to the Bill, That all Freemen of the City of London shall be adjudged good Witnesses, concerning any Tryal to be had, touching the Revenues thereof:

And the Question being put, That the Clause be read a Second time;

Resolved, That the said Blank be filled up with "Two thousand Pounds."

Resolved, That the Clause be made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, That a Clause be brought in to the said Bill, upon the Third Reading, upon the Debate of the House, for Repayment of the Sum of Two thousand Pounds, by the Bill allowed to be yearly paid for Seven Years, out of the Monies by the Bill appointed for the Use of the said Orphans and Creditors, towards defraying of the publick Charges of the said City of London.

And it is referred to Sir Chr. Musgrave, Mr. SolicitorGeneral, Sir Tho. Clarges, Sir Cha. Porter, Mr. Foley, Mr. Smith, to prepare, and bring in, the said Clause.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Supply Bill; Duties on Salt, Beer, &c.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Eleven a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for granting to their Majesties certain Rates and Duties upon Salt, and upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for securing certain Recompences and Advantages, in the said Bill mentioned, to such Persons as shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Ten hundred thousand Pounds, towards carrying on the War against France.

Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
