Prayers.

Raising Seamen.

MR. Granvile presented to the House a Bill for the more easy Raising of Seamen for their Majesties Service.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Privilege- Petition from Persons in custody.

A Petition of John Lake, John Rawson, and John Nuns, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, for a Breach of Privilege by them committed against Sir John Bland, Baronet, a Member of this House, was read: Whereby they acknowledged their Offence; and begged Pardon of the House for the same; and prayed to be discharged.

Ordered, That the said Persons be brought to the Bar of this House To-morrow Morning, in order to their Discharge.

Convex Lights.

Mr. Serjeant Trenchard reported from the Committee to whom the Bill for the granting a longer Term of Years to the Partners concerned in the Convex Lights, was committed, That they had made some Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House: And which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

A Petition of the Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and Common Council of the City of London, was read; setting forth, That there now being a Bill depending in the House, intituled, a Bill for granting a longer Term to the Partners concerned in the Convex Lights, that the said City will be greatly concerned in the Consequences thereof; and praying to be heard, by their Counsel, touching such Matters as they have to offer, in Behalf of the said City, relating to the said Bill.

Ordered, That the said Bill be referred back to the Committee to whom the same was committed, in order to their considering the said Petition only; and that they do report their Opinions therein to the House: And that Sir John Manwaring, Mr. Papillion, Sir Tho. Vernon, Sir Ben. Newland, Sir Jos. Herne, Mr. Westerne, be added to the said Committee: And they are to meet To-morrow at Four a Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Woolen Manufacture.

Ordered, That the Bill for continuing Part of an Act of Parliament made in the First Year of their Majesties Reign, intituled, An Act for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool, and encouraging the Woolen Manufactures, be read the Second time upon Friday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock.

Supply.

Then the House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider farther of the Supply to be granted to their Majesties, for the carrying on a vigorous War against France.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Attorney General took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Attorney General reported from the said Committee, That they had made a further Progress in the Matter to them referred: and had directed him to move, That they may have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Friday Morning next, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted to their Majesties, for the carrying on a vigorous War against France.
