Treasury warrant to Sir Stephen Fox, Paymaster of the Forces. for the execution (for a single year to the end of Dec., 1679) of the royal warrant of 1678, Oct. 18 directed to Lemuel Kingdon, which royal warrant required him to continue for two years from 1678–9, Jan. 1, the pay to the Duke of Monmouth of the balance or saving of the army establishment as by the privy seal of 1677, Sept. 20, which granted to said Duke such balance for two years from 1676–7, Jan. 1. King's Warrant Book VIII, pp. 43–4.
