Subscription by Treasurer Latimer of a docquet, dated 1673,
Oct., of a grant to Visct. Ranelagh et al., Undertakers for the
management of the Revenue in Ireland, of the annuity or
yearly fee of 65l. 13s. 4d. current money of Ireland, with all
other fees, rights, privileges, profits, perquisites and casualties
belonging to the offices of Vice Treasurer, Receiver General
and Treasurer at Wars in Ireland, or any of them : with power
to take 6d. in the for all money they shall pay by virtue of
said office under the commission of 1671, Sept. 23 : to hold
same, without account, from April 11 last (at which time said
offices were surrendered by Lord Aungier) until 1675, Dec. 26
(the time their undertaking determines). And for the better
enabling them to receive same the King releases to them their
covenant in their undertaking and to the Commissioners in the
Commission of 1671. Sept. 23, all trusts and directions for the
payment of the fees and profits of said offices to the Vice
Treasurer for the time being. The King also grants them the
said annuity, fees and perquisites from 1675, Dec. 26, to
1678, Dec. 26, and in case the King grants said offices to any
[other] person from 1675, Dec. 26, the King covenants that
such grantee shall be obliged to appoint such deputy for receiving
said annuity, fees and perquisites as the abovesaid
Undertakers shall nominate.

Report to the King from Treasurer Latimer on the petition of
the Doctors of the Society of Doctors' Commons and on the
evidences of their privileges. After conference with the
Judges of the Common Law I am of opinion that said society
ought to pay towards the Eighteen Months' assessment proportionable
to the ground rent of their house called Doctors'
Commons and so likewise to other taxes. But none of the
Doctors of that Society ought to pay or be taxed particularly
for their lodgings or studies or residence there (they being
there for judging of causes and practice in their profession as
the judges and serjeants at the Serjeants Inns are for theirs).
Neither are the said Society of Doctors to be burthened with
bearing of arms or any other office, military or civil, nor any
of the Doctors residing there, they having respectively houses
and lands in other places, where they pay to said tax and
other taxes proportionably to their estates. I am, therefore,
of opinion said Society should enjoy the same exemptions,
freedoms and privileges at the Doctors' Commons as the
Judges and Serjeants enjoy at the Serjeants' Inns in London.

Crown Lands for a particular of a small leasehold tenement
called Netherton, in the manor of Carnedon Prior, and the two

co. Cornwall, the tenement for two lives in reversion of the
life of James Dingley (the survivor of John, Abell and James
Dingley), now in being at the rent of 7s. per an., and the
woods for three lives under such yearly rent as is directed by
the Act of Parliament for grants within the Duchy of Cornwall.

Latimer. Said Hicks took up arms for the late King and
continued in arms as Capt., Major and Lieut. Col. until the
surrender of Pendennis Castle, was wounded and suffered eight
years' sequestration. Details the value of said woods in 1624
and 1650.

delivered to the French Ambassador and the seizers be treated
with concerning the other moiety. As to the other goods
mentioned in the French Ambassador's schedule, his servants
are to make oath of the cost thereof. I refer to you a docquet
of Sir Hugh Choldmondley's containing a clause concerning the
making a new pod wharf or haven at Saltash ; for you to report
the conveniency thereof. Report your reason for dismissing
