seal for a grant to Edward Harley Esq. of the office of one of the
Auditors of Imprests loco Thomas Done lately deceased as amply
as the said Done or Sir Richard Langley, or William Aldworth or

Memorandum. This warrant was cancelled and another was
signed the 4th March 1702 for granting to Mr. Harley the said office
during his good behaviour ; "which was the only alteration."

at before his death : the value of said bishopric being certified at

he having petitioned, shewing that the chief Governors of Ireland
have always been accustomed upon their leaving that kingdom
to take with them all the books of entries belonging to both their
Secretaries' offices wherein were entered all King's letters, orders,
warrants and letters directed to them and given by them ; the
removal of which hath not only been a great injury to the subjects
of that kingdom for want of copies of such orders upon many
occasions but also a great prejudice to all succeeding Chief Governors ;
and that petitioner has been employed for many years in the Office
of the Chief Secretary to the Chief Governor of Ireland during which
time many applications have been made to him for such copies ;
and he has therefore prayed that an Office may be created and
erected there by the name of the Paper Office in which may be
kept copies or duplicates of all books of entries wherein any warrants
&c. as above are entered belonging to both Secretaries' Offices of the
Chief Governor. It is hereby ordered that a convenient room be
set out and appointed in Dublin Castle for this purpose, to be fitted
up at the Queen's charge and to be delivered to said Dawson for said

not fail to send (to William Blathwayt, Auditor of those revenues)
by the first opportunity a perfect account of all her Majesty's Casual
Revenues in Barbados from your first appointment together with
proper vouchers of what remains due to the Queen for the same.
Also please remit the balance of the said accompt to your Correspondent
here in London with directions [to him] to pay same here for

Considering the falling of the revenue the computation for the
Civil List is at one half their yearly allowance except the Concordatums
which must be wholly charged and the French who are
allowed but two thirds of their pay for that year.
The Military List is also computed at one moiety of their full pay
for the General Officers, Chief Officers of the Ordnance, Governors
[of forts], pensioners, half pay Officers and clothiers, except the
Government, Military Contingencies, additional pay and barracks
which are allowed full : the army and Grain [sic for Train] Officers
are fully subsisted, so that the whole charge of the year will amount
to 219,642l. 6s. 3d., "and if the Indian Regiments are removed from
