1441. 4 Kal. Dec.Florence (f. 4.)	To the archbishop of Tuam. Mandate to collate and assign to David Valencis, priest, of the diocese of Tuam, the still void, as below, perpetual vicarage of Fruyr (sic) in the said diocese, value not exceeding 2 marks sterling, collation and provision of which, on its voidance by the death without the Roman court of Dermit Ocuin, the chapter of Tuam, the see being void, made to him, by vigour of which he obtained possession and has held it for about a year, but now doubts whether the said collation and provision hold good; whether it be still void as above, or by the resignation of Maurice Yoi (i.e. Joi), or by the death of Walter Croir (or Crorc), both without the said court, or in any other way. 5 Kal. Dec. Florence (f. 26.)	To the deans of Tuam and Kilmacduagh and the archdeacon of Clonfert. Mandate, at the recent petition of William Ycorcrayn, rector of Achnaty (rectius Athnary) in the diocese of Tuam (containing that he formerly obtained the said church, collated to him by papal authority, and had for some time held and was holding it in peace, when Maurice Oceeallay, priest, of the diocese of Clonfert, falsely asserting that it belonged to him and that William had unjustly despoiled him of its possession, impetrated papal letters addressed to the dean of Tuam, and under pretext thereof caused William to be summoned before Charles Oconcubayr, dean of Tuam; and that, inasmuch as the said dean, notwithstanding a protest made by William against his jurisdiction, proceeded in the cause, he appealed to the apostolic see; and praying the pope to commit the cause of the said appeal to persons in those parts) to summon the said Maurice and others concerned, revoke whatever has been done after the said appeal, hear both sides, and decide what is just without appeal, causing their decision to be observed by censure, invoking the aid of the secular arm etc. Ad ea ex apostolice. 3 Kal. Dec. Florence (f. 85d.)	To the abbot of Montmorel (Montismorelli) in the diocese of Avranches. Mandate to collate and assign to Richard Hay, clerk, of the diocese of Avranches, the still void, as below, perpetual chaplaincy at the altar of SS. Martin and Agatha in the church of Avranches, without cure and value not exceeding 10l. of petits tournois, collation and provision of which, on its voidance by the death of John Renouf without the Roman court, was made to him by the ancient collators, the dean and chapter, by their ordinary authority, by vigour of which he obtained possession, but now doubts whether they hold good.
