Dispensation to him (who was formerly dispensed by the ordinary, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be tonsured and hold a benefice without cure) to hold four other mutually compatible benefices with or without cure, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. Reservation, for collation to him, priest, of the deanery of Clonmacnoise, a major elective dignity with cure, value not exceeding 20 marks, which is to become void by the promotion, made by the pope, of Cormac, elect of Clonmacnoise, to that see. and by his consecration, which is to take place; notwithstanding that he was lately received by authority of the ordinary as a canon of Tuam, and that the pope has ordered provision to be made to him of a benefice with or without cure in the common or several gift of the archbishop of Tuam and the bishop of Elphin and the deans and chapters etc. of those churches. Upon obtaining the said deanery the said mandate of provision shall be null as far as regards a benefice with cure only. Vite etc.

John is hereby dispensed to receive and hold such benefice with cure, and not to be bound for five years to have himself ordained deacon or priest on account thereof, whilst studying letters at an university, provided that during the first year of such five he be ordained subdeacon.
