Mandate—Odo Osomachan, perpetual vicar of Culdea in the diocese of Elphin, priest, having this day informed the pope that formerly Cornelius Osomachan, priest, obtained by authority of the ordinary the perpetual vicarage of Drymunan in the said diocese, on its voidance in a certain way, and that Donald Osomachan, priest, got provision made to him by papal authority, alleging it to be void by the death of Nellanus Yhomochayn, and that, he too having obtained possession, the said Cornelius and he agreed to share the fruits etc. and have done so for about four years—if Odo will accuse in his presence the said Cornelius and Donald, to summon them and, if he find the accusation true, to deprive both of them, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 4 marks, to Odo; notwithstanding that he holds the above vicarage of Culdea [value not stated], which he is, as he has offered, to resign upon obtaining that of Drymunan. Mandate—the pope having learned that the rectory of Athnaryg in the diocese of Tuam, of the patronage of laymen, has been so long void by the death of Mylerus de Bremycheam that its collation by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see, although William de Bremycheam, priest, of the said diocese has for more than four years unduly detained possession, as he still does, he being under disability by ‘Execrabilis,’ because before he obtained the said rectory he held together certain incompatible benefices without dispensation—to summon the said William and others concerned, and if he find the said rectory to be void as stated, or in any other way, to collate and assign it, value not exceeding 40 marks, to William Ocorcrayn, canon of Kilmacduagh, if found fit, who is in his twenty-second year and who lately received papal dispensation as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc. as above, f. 81, and who, fearing the power of Bremycheam, has no hope of obtaining justice in the city and diocese of Tuam; notwithstanding that he holds a canonry of Kilmacduagh and the prebend of Killenayn, value not exceeding 1 mark.
