To the abbot of Holy Trinity, Loch Che, in the diocese of Elphin. Mandate to collate and assign to Cormac Oheagra, clerk, of the diocese of Achonry, who is in his twenty-third year or thereabouts, is of royal race by both parents, and has long studied canon and civil law, if found fit, the provostship of Achonry, a non-major non-elective dignity with cure, value not exceeding 8 marks, void by the death of Odo Macdonnchaid; whether it be so void, or be void under a certain constitution, put forth by the pope with the approval of the council of Constance, because Eugenius Ohegra, who long held it, did not have himself promoted to the order required by the provostship, and be so long void that its collation has by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see. To the bishops of Piacenza and Killaloe and the archdeacon of Emly. Mandate to collate and assign to Donatus Magmachuna, perpetual portionary in the church of Kilfenora, who has studied canon law for several years, and has lately had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, the deanery of Kilfenora, a major elective dignity with cure, whose value and that of Donatus's said portion, without cure, do not exceed 11 marks, void by the death of Maurice Ocathayl; notwithstanding that the pope has lately ordered provision to be made to him of the perpetual vicarage of Hyllmeicchriche (sic) Natraga in the diocese of Kilfenora, value not exceeding 8 marks, with which he is hereby dispensed to hold the deanery for one year. To the bishop of Dunblane, and John Hugonis and Nicholas de Mur, canons of Orkney. Mandate, if they find the facts to be as stated, to collate and assign to William Broune, priest, of the diocese of St. Andrews, the archdeaconry of Orkney, a major
non-elective dignity with cure, value not exceeding 8l. of old sterlings, which became void by the resignation to the above bishop of Dunblane, then bishop of Orkney, of John Thome, and therefore, under his general reservation of cathedral dignities, reserved to Benedict XIII, who had not disposed of it when he was deposed, and which is therefore still reserved to the present pope; notwithstanding that the pope lately granted him provision of the perpetual vicarage of Lyllisclef in the diocese of Glasgow, value not excceding 20l. and of a benefice with or without cure, wont to be assigned to secular clerks, in the common or several gift of the bishop and the prior and chapter of St. Andrews and of the abbot and Benedictine convent of Abbibroth in the said diocese. He is hereby dispensed to hold archdeaconry and vicarage together for four years, during which he is to exchange as usual, and, if not, is to resign whichever of the two he obtains first.
