Richard in that diocese, of the patronage of laymen, value not exceeding 20 marks, shortly to become void under the pope's recent mandate to the above three to deprive and remove John Tathe, who does not well understand and intelligibly speak the language (ydcoma) of the majority of the parishioners; notwithstanding that the pope has recently ordered provision to be made to him of the parish church, value not exceeding 80 marks, of Rathwere, in the same diocese [below, f. 83d], possession of which he has not yet got, and of one, two, three, four or more benefices with or without cure, in the common or several gift of the bishop of Meath, the abbot and convent of St. Thomas the Martyr's without the walls, Dublin, and the priors and convents of Duleyk and Colpe, in the diocese of Meath.
