Mary and Columba, Instiok, to publicly excommunicate Robert Dobine, Thomas Englond, Henry Gillis, William Gillis, Robert Flan, William son of Thomas, John Hamunde, Henry Dobyn, Philip Prodome, Geoffrey Roche Dobin, and John Arnold, laymen of the diocese of Ossory, who, with their accomplices, attacked the said priory, wounded Stephen, killed one of the canons, tore out of the eyes and tongue of another, and together with Richard, bishop of Ossory, compelled Stephen to resign the priory into the hands of the said bishop. These sacrilegious persons are to remain excommunicate until they have made satisfaction, and come to the apostolic see to be absolved. [Theiner, 309.]
