To Anibaldus, bishop of Tusculum, and Stephen, cardinal of SS. John and Paul, papal nuncios to the kings of France and England. Power to dissolve and annul all pacts and confederations entered into by the said kings or any of their subjects, which may hinder the making peace between them.

To the archbishop of Canterbury. Mandate to sequestrate the prebend and treasurership of Salisbury, of which provision was made to Galhardus, cardinal of St. Lucy's in Silice, on its voidance by the death of Walter Wivill, and to cite Thomas Hotofth, rector of Pontragh, in the same diocese, and John de Breydon to appear before the pope touching the same. The said Thomas, William Thurstan, Matthew de Skinnere, Richard le Skinnere, William Digher, Thomas Bretford, John Stone, and William Dumbrendale, citizens of Salisbury, attacked the cardinal's sub-executor and proctor with drawn swords, took them out of the church, and would have killed them, had not a canon and a vicar of the said church intervened; John de Breydon; who had papal expectation of a prebend, two years after that of the cardinal, being a party to the said violence, and unlawfully holding the said prebend and treasurership.
