Confirmation of the dispensation granted to him touching the rectory of Linton, in the diocese of St. Andrews, value 40 marks, which he obtained when under twenty-five years of age, and has held for ten years He was ordered to pay to the papal camera 100 marks of fruits received from the said benefice; and notwithstanding that he has not done so within the given time, the dispensation is allowed to hold good.

Commission and mandate to ascertain the facts touching William de Lutton, canon of Gisburn, who, when in minor orders, and living in the world, is alleged to have laid violent hands on Stephen de Lutton, who was attacking him and his father, striking him on the cheek with an iron shod stick, so that, after taking medicine, Stephen lost his right eye. There is a doubt whether this loss was caused by the doctor's want of skill or by the blow. If it appears that William had no intention to injure Stephen, a dispensation is to be granted him touching orders of subdeacon and deacon that he has received.

Commission and mandate to ascertain the sufficiency of the endowment provided by Roger de Mortuomari, earl of March, for the chapel founded by him in the parish of Leyntwardyn, of whose church he is patron, for a dean and ten chaplains, and, if it be sufficient, to confirm what has been done; and to make an ordinance whereby the dean shall be elected by the chaplains, the chaplains instituted by the dean, and the rights of the parish church preserved.
