Commission and mandate to grant a licence to Thomas Wake, lord of Lidel, to transfer to another place the Augustinian monastery founded by him in his town of Cotingham, to which the parish church has been appropriated, and to which have come many canons of Brunne, in the diocese of Lincoln. It appears, according to the statutes and customs of the realm, that T. Wake's heirs will have the power of uprooting the monastery at Cotingham.

Mandate to hear and determine the cause between Adam de Langestre, canon of Jeddeworth, and Robert called ‘Marshal,’ canon of the same. During the wars between England and Scotland, William the abbot, Adam, and five canons betook themselves for safety to England; the abbot died, and Robert taking that office on himself shut the doors in the face of Adam and the canons on their return, and denounced him as apostate and excommunicate.
