Footnotes

  • 1. On the back of the volume: ‘Inn. viii. Offic. Lib. i.’ On the side of half of the original sheepskin binding which is preserved at the beginning of the volume is the contemporary ‘[Primus] Officiorum domini Innocentii viii,’ and other contemporary notes, and on the back of it is the later ‘Innocentius 8. Prim. Offic.’ There are 273 ff. of text, and 4 ff. of ‘rubricelle,’ headed ‘Rubricelle Libri primi Officiorum domini Innocentii.’

  • 4. The address was ‘Dilecto filio molero de Burgo.’ The m has been corrected to M, and the o appears to have been corrected to e, but the result is not clear. It is ‘Molerus’ in the ‘rubricelle.’
  • 5. The register had ‘mccclxxx quinto, Quinto Id. Julijanno tertio.' The ‘quinto’ is very effectually cancelled, and ‘septimo’ substituted in the margin, thus giving mccclxxx septimo, Quinto Id. Julij. Theiner, or his transcriber, has misunderstood the correction.
