To the prior of the monastery of Killagh (de Belloloco), wont to be governed by a prior, in the diocese of Ardfert, and Maurice Fyrmoris [sic], a canon of Ardfert. (fn. 2) Mandate to collate and assign to Donatus Oconthy, (fn. 3) clerk, of Ardfert (who was lately dispensed on account of illegitimacy, as the son of unmarried parents, by authority of the ordinary to be made a clerk, and afterwards by papal authority to be promoted to all, even holy orders, and hold a benefice even with cure, after which he had himself made a clerk), the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Cnocnyur in the said diocese, yearly value not exceeding 4 marks sterling, so long void that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Cornelius Okaely, priest, of the diocese of Killaloe (Laonien.), who is to be summoned and removed, has detained possession of it for some years without any canonical title. To the prior of the monastery of St. Mary alias St. Tierney (sancti Tigernachi), Achamicharyt, (fn. 4) in the diocese of Ossory, the dean of Ossory, and Edmund Comortun, a canon of the same. Mandate, as below. The priorship of the monastery, wont to be governed by a prior, of St. Kieran (sancti Kyranii) de Syr, O.S.A., in the diocese of Ossory, which is conventual, has become void by the death extra R.c. of Cornelius Migillafoil, and reserved under the pope's late reservation of all conventual priories. The pope, therefore, hereby orders the above three to receive John Oflannagayn, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe (fn. 5) (who alleges that the rectory of the [parish] church of St. Macanisius (?) (sancti Micknesy) de Finchora, in the said diocese of Ossory, has been wont from time immemorial to be held by the priors of the said monastery, as being united, etc., thereto, and that he doubts the force of such union, etc., and that Nicholas Omaenacham, a canon of the said monastery, has for between two and four years detained possession of the said priorship without any title or right), as a canon of the said monastery, give him the regular habit thereof, and receive his profession, and thereupon to collate and assign to him the said priorship and rectory, which (quibus) have cure of souls, and the yearly value of which together does not exceed 35 marks sterling, and to unite, etc., the said rectory to the said priorship for his lifetime only; summoning and removing the said Nicholas. Mandate to collate and assign to Gilbert Ohierlathy, clerk, of the diocese of Cloyne, the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Kylgarvayn in the diocese of Ardfert, yearly value not exceeding 6 marks sterling, so long void that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Maurice Osullevayn, clerk, of the said diocese of Ardfert, who is to be summoned and removed, has without any canonical title detained possession for between two and three years, from fear of whose power the said Gilbert cannot safely meet him in the city and diocese of Ardfert. To the abbots of the monasteries of Fermoy (de Castro dei) and Middleton (de Choro benedicti), and the prior of the monastery, wont to be governed by a prior, of St. Thomas the Martyr by Buttevant (juxta Butoniem [sic]), in the diocese of Cloyne (Clonen.). Mandate to collate and assign to Thady (Tatheus) Ohenassy, (fn. 8) clerk, of the diocese of Cloyne, the deanery of Cloyne, a major dignity with cure, yearly value not exceeding 24 marks sterling, so long void that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Nicholas Sprinceos (?), priest, who is to be summoned and removed, has detained possession for between one and two years without any canonical title: notwithstanding any letters surreptitiously obtained by Maurice Hodahill, clerk.
