1476. 3 Id. June. (3 June.) Campagnano in the diocese of Sutri. (f. 106v.)	To John Weston, prior of the priory of England of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem. (fn. 1) Dispensation to him (to whom the pope lately made provision of the priory of England, and who was then holding, and now holds, the preceptorships of Quenyngton, Balsal, [and] Newlant Cosyngton (recte et Osyngton) in the dioceses of Worcester and Conventry and Lichfield, who has made his profession of the said Hospital, and has served it at Rhodes, and being Turchopolarius has had heavy expenses to bear) so that, even after he has obtained possession of the said priory, he may retain therewith in commendam the preceptory of Quenyngton for life, and those of Balsal and Newlant for a year. To John Huseman, doctor of decrees, dean of St. Patroclus's Soest (Suzaciensis), in the diocese of Cologne, the pope's notary and nuncio and commissary. Mandate to inquire into and report to the pope in regard to the charges made by king James and by the chapter of the cathedral and the clergy and university of St. Andrews against Patrick, archbishop of St. Andrews; with power to cite him, etc. Etsi prelatorum. 1477. 6 Id. Nov. (8 Nov.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 267r.)	To the bishop of Emly. Mandate to collate and assign to William Ocomayn, clerk, of the diocese of Lismore, who is in about his twenty-first year, a canonry of Lismore and the prebend of Kilro Sancta, and the perpetual vicarage of Kylmydayn in the diocese of Waterford, value 10 and 6 marks respectively, so long void that their collation has lapsed to the apostolic see; summoning and removing John Culleyn and Cornelius Oclery, priests, who have without title detained the said canonry and prebend and vicarage for several years, and for between three and seven years, respectively, and each of whom William fears to meet in the united dioceses of Lismore and Waterford; even if the said canonry and prebend became void by the death of Philip Wiot. He has hereby dispensation to receive the said vicarage and retain it for life, and indult not to be bound for seven years to be promoted to any holy order on account thereof, whilst studying in a university or in a studium particulare, provided that during the first of the seven years he be ordained subdeacon; notwithstanding the said defect of age, etc. Dignum arbitramur.
