LIST OF MAPS
The maps were drafted by the authors of the respective articles; except for those on pp. 00, which are by Catherine Pyke, they were all drawn by K. J. Wass. The basic framework of most of the maps is taken from the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map of c. 1850; the sources, which sometimes also include the 6-inch map, are otherwise given below. The maps are listed below in the order in which they appear in the volume, not in one alphabetical sequence; parish names are indicated by the use of capitals, and maps of parts of parishes have been indented.
