NONCONFORMITY.
In 1696 Edward Husbands of Little Horkesley Hall refused to take the oaths of supremacy and allegiance. (fn. 1) Husbands claimed to be a Catholic in 1715, but denied that faith in 1717. (fn. 2)
In 1790 there were said to be some Methodists in the parish, and in 1818 about 5 or 6 nonconformists. (fn. 3)
