NONCONFORMITY

Although 13 men and 3 women in 1675 and 1 man and 3 women in 1686 were presented for not going to church, (fn. 1) only 4 dissenters were reported in 1676. (fn. 2) There were a few c. 1800, but their numbers were declining by 1807 when their meeting house, perhaps that registered in 1805, was deserted. (fn. 3) No organized dissent was reported later. (fn. 4)
