Yeoman of the Stirrup c. 1675–1702

The yeoman of the stirrup was appointed by the master of the horse. His remuneration consisted of £36 10s on the Household Establishment of 1664, reduced to £26 13s 4d on the Stables Establishment of 1682. His wages were raised to £68 per annum on that of 1685. The office was discontinued by the Establishment of 1702. (fn. 1)
