Table-Deckers 1713–1837

Most table-deckers were appointed by the lord Steward. (fn. 1) In 1727 the table-deckers made between £18 5s and £20 apiece. By 1800 they made £50 apiece. In 1832 the table-decker's and assistant table-decker's places determined. They were replaced by the first table-decker at £220; a second table-decker at £200; and a third table-decker at £110. (fn. 2)
