A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by The Lord Mayor and others:
With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for allowing the Importation of Rice, Paddy, Indian Corn, Indian Meal and Maize, free from Duty, for a limited Time;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
The said Bill was read the First Time.
Seehl's Naturalization Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Elwes and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Ephraim Rinhold Seehl;" and to acquaint this House, That they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.
Renaud's Naturalization Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Elwes and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Stephen Gideon Renaud, and John Francis Daniel Renaud;" and to acquaint this House, That they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.
Hatfield Chace Drainage Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Duncombe and others:
With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for more effectually draining and preserving certain Lands and Grounds within the Level of Hatfield Chace and Parts adjacent, in the Counties of York, Lincoln, and Nottingham;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
Stafford Road Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Bridgeman and others:
With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing and amending an Act of the Third Year of His present Majesty, for repairing and widening the Road leading from the Town of Stafford to Sandon, in the County of Stafford, and several other Roads in the Counties of Salop and Stafford;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
The said Two Bills were, severally, read the First Time.
Gilpin et al. Petition referred to Judges.
Upon reading the Petition, as well of Jonathan Power Gilpin Esquire, for and on Behalf of himself, and his Son James Gilpin Esquire, as of Elizabeth Glenn Widow, and James Mascall Gentleman, and Sarah Martha his Wife; and also of Thomas Coller Gentleman, and Elizabeth Coleman Widow of Walter Coleman Gentleman, deceased, for and on Behalf of Walter Coleman an Infant, her eldest Son by the said Walter Coleman, deceased; praying Leave to bring in a Bill for the Purposes in the said Petition mentioned:
It is Ordered, That the Consederation of the said Petition be and is hereby referred to the Lord Chief Baron of the Court of Exchequer and Mr. Justice Gould, who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill and after hearing them, are to report to the House the State of the Case with their Opinion thereupon under their Hands, and whether all Parties who may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill, have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Upon reading the Petition of the Right Honourable Robert Henley Ongley, Baron Ongley of the Kingdom of Ireland on Behalf of himself, and Robert Henley Ongley and Samuel Henley Ongley his Sons, who are both Infants; praying Leave to bring in a Bill for the Purposes in the said Petition mentioned:

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee upon the said Bill on Thursday next.
Somerton Roads Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers of an Act passed in the First Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, intituled, "An Act for repairing and widening the Roads from Dyed Way to Somerton, and from Gawbridge to Tintinhull Fords, and from a Stream of Water called Ford to Cartgate, in Mortock, in the County of Somerset."
Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to the Consideration of the Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Five of them, to meet on Thursday next, at Ten o'Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings, near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Silk Importations Bill.
The Order of the Day being read for the House to be in a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for further continuing an Act made in the Nineteenth Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, for allowing the Importation of fine organzined Italian thrown Silk in any Ships or Vessels for a limited Time."

The Order of the Day being read for the House to be in a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Regulation of His Majesty's Marine Forces while on Shore."

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for continuing several Acts passed for the better Regulation of Lastage and Ballastage in the River Thames."

Barnard Castle Enclosure Bill.
The Lord Scarsdale reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dividing and enclosing the Open Fields within the Township of Barnard Castle, in the County of Durham," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents to the Satisfaction of the Committee; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."
Somerton Roads Bill.
