Accompt of Tea, &c. imported, delivered.
The House being informed, "That the Collector of the Customs Inwards attended:"
He was called in; and delivered, at the Bar (pursuant to an Order of the 3d Instant),
"The Return of the Commissioners of the Customs, with an Account of the Quantity of Tea and Coffee imported, with the Amount of the Duties received on those Quantities, and the Charges in collecting the same, from Midsummer 1724, to Christmas 1731."
And then he withdrew.
And the Titles of the said Return and Account were read, by the Clerk.
Tomlison to attend Sugar Colonies Bill.
The House being moved, "That Captain John Tomlinson may be required to attend this House, to be examined, as a Witness, upon the Bill for the better securing and encouraging the Trade of His Majesty's Sugar Colonies in America."
The same was ordered accordingly.
Lamotte's Nat. Bill.
The Lord Viscount Tadcaster reported from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to naturalize Jean Lagier Lamotte," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill; as also the Petition of George Godfried Hasenseller, to them referred; and had gone through the same, and made some Amendments thereunto."
Which, being read Twice by the Clerk, were agreed to by the House.
Land Tax Bill.
The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to His Majesty, by a Land Tax, to be raised in Great Britain, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty-three."
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Onslow reported from the said Committee, "That they had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."
Little Hampton, alias Arundel Port, Bill:
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for erecting Piers in, and for repairing and keeping in Repair, the Harbour of Little Hampton, called Arundell Port, in the County of Sussex."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Sugar Colonies, Bill.
The Order of the Day being read, for the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better securing and encouraging the Trade of His Majesty's Sugar Colonies in America;" and for hearing Counsel and others, as well for as against the same:
The Counsel and Agents were called in.
And the said Bill was read a Second Time.
And Counsel were heard, for several of the Petitioners, against the Bill.
And Mr. Richard Partridge, Agent for the Colony of Rhoad Island and Providence Plantation, was likewife heard, against the said Bill.
Then several Witnesses were examined upon Oath, as to the Nature of the Trade of the Northern Colonies; the Commodities they exchange with the French and Dutch; the Dealings they have with the Indians; what Shipping they have, and the Use the same is put to; what Lumber they have, and how vended; and as to the Price of Sugar in the Sugar Colonies, and other Matters.
And then they were directed to withdraw.
Ordered, That the further Hearing, in relation to this Bill, be adjourned till To-morrow.

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual preventing frivolous and vexatious Arrests; and for the more easy Recovery of Debts and Damages, in the Courts of Great Sessions in the Princi pality of Wales, and in the Court of Assize in the County Palatine of Chester; and for the obviating a Doubt which has arisen, upon an Act made in the Fourth Year of His present Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act that all Proceedings in Courts of Justice, within that Part of Great Britain called England, and in the Court of Exchequer in Scotland," shall be in the English Language," so far as the same Act doth or may relate to the Courts of Justice holden within the said Principality; and for explaining and amending the said Act;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire their Concurrence.

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Trustees certain Messuages, Houses, and Buildings, in Mark Lane, in the City of London, the Estate of George Harvest an Infant, to be sold (subject to the Payment of Twenty Pounds, and Four Pounds Ten Shillings per Annum, charged thereupon); and for laying out the Money arising by such Sale in the Purchase of other Lands, to be settled to such Uses as the Premises to be sold now stand limited;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And several Witnesses were examined, on their Part, upon Oath, in relation to the Quantity of Sugar and Rum which the Sugar Colonies produced, the Goodness of the Rum made there, and as to the Condition in which those Colonies are; also in relation to Lumber produced in the Northern Colonies; and touching the Fishery there, and the Number of Men employed therein; and likewise as to the Trade carried on from New England with the Indians; and other Matters.

An Act of the General Assembly there, for the Treasurer's paying of Money, was read.

The Lord Delawarr reported from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Sir Theodorc Janssen Knight and Baronet, and his Heirs, the Remainder in Fee Simple, now in the Crown, expectant on the Determination of certain Estates Tail, of and in the Manor and Advowson of Ower Moigne, in the County of Dorset, and several Lands and Hereditaments to the same Manor belonging," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which they found to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Explaining Act to enclose Aldham and Boyne Commons, Bill.
The Lord Delawarr also reported from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for explaining and amending Part of an Act made in the Second Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, intituled, "An Act for enclosing Aldham and Boyne Commons, belonging to the Parish of Hadleigh, in the County of Suffolk, for the better Maintenance of the Poor of the said Parish," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill; and heard Counsel for Doctor Wilkins, upon his Petition to them referred; as likewise Counsel for the Bill; and had gone through the same, and made some Amendments thereunto."
Which, being read Twice by the Clerk, were agreed to by the House.

Mr. Morison to be heard, against Fleet Ditch Bill.

Visc Dowager Lanesborough against the Lessee of Fox, in Error, from Ireland:
After hearing Counsel, as well Yesterday as this Day, to argue the Errors assigned upon a Writ of Error brought into this House the 26th Day of February last, wherein Mary Viscountess Dowager Lanesborough is Plaintiff, and Mark Anthony Morgan Esquire, Lessee of George Fox Esquire, Defendant, in order to reverse a Judgement given in the Exchequer Chamber in Ireland, affirming a Judgement in Ejectment brought by the Defendant in the Court of Exchequer in that Kingdom:
And the unanimous Opinions of the Judges present, touching certain Points of Law to them proposed, having been delivered; and due Consideration had of what was offered on both Sides in this Case:
Judgements reversed.
It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Judgement given in the said Court of Exchequer, and the Judgement given in the said Exchequer Chamber affirming the same, be, and are hereby, reversed.
The Tenor of which Judgement, to be affixed to the Transcript of the Record to be remitted, follows:
