Iland there is a haven or porte walled in with a very thicke wall
of grete stone wherein shipps of cxx or cxl can come inne
and otherwyse of xxx or forty tunne may lye at rode, cominge
in at a full sea on the northe part of the said Ilande at a smale
passage, and soe doe all the botes of fishermenne; in the foote of
which Ilande nere the porte there are divers store howses for

"This is the first oportunitey I could gett
to write to you since I came to the fleet. Wee have stay'd all
this while for a winde wich I thinke verey long, for the sooner
wee engage the sooner I shall come backe. I hope you have soe
much discretion to consider what condition you eare (sic) in, and
not to trouble your selfe for that you cannot helpe. I pray God
preserve you and littell Kett." From abord the Charls, the
