Preface
The present volume is the second instalment of a Calendar of certain documents selected from the class formerly known as Escheats, or Inquisitions post mortem. It covers the first nineteen years of the reign of Edward I. The text has been prepared by Mr. J. E. E. S. Sharp, an Assistant Record Keeper, and the index by Mr. A. E. Stamp, M.A., of this Office.
