Footnotes

  • 1. On the back of the volume: ‘Inn. viii. Bullar. An. i, ii, iii. Li. xxi.' On the front half of the original sheepskin binding is the contemporary ’xxi. Bull. do (mini) [Innocentii]’ and ‘R (ecipe) Annolet (e)’ (?) (below which is a faint and seemingly erased ‘Recipe…’), and also the usual later ’Innoc. 8. Lib. xxi.’ There are i-cccxxxiiii ff. of text and (in spite of the ’Recipe’) no ‘rubricelle.’
  • 2. On f. 216v. is a provision to John Barre, M.A., of the deanery of Brechin, granted by Sixtus IV under the date 14 May, 1477. It has, therefore, been transferred to the end of the Registers of that Pope, viz. Cal. Papal Lett., vol. XIII, p. 864.
