St. Peter's, Rome.
(f. 255v.)
To the abbot of SS. Peter and Paul's, Raythuoy and the prior of Ballinskelligs (de Rupe), in the diocese of Ardfert, and the official of Ardfert. Mandate to erect into a prebend of Ardfert, and afterwards to collate and assign to Donald Osuyllyvvayn, clerk, of the diocese of Ardfert (who was lately dispensed by papal authority on account of illegitimacy, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, both nobles, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure) the perpetual vicarage of Kyllocayn alias Cnochanahagillsy in the said diocese, value 10 marks sterling, so long void, because the late Cornelius Ossuillivayn held it for more than a year without being ordained priest and without dispensation, that its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see; summoning and removing John Osuyll[i]vayn, priest, of Ardfert, who has held possession for several years without title, and causing the said Donald to be received as a canon of Ardfert, etc. He is hereby dispensed on account of the said defect, etc. Vite ac morum.
