He was lately dispensed by papal authority (i) to hold for life, with the parish church of Stebbenhith in the diocese of London, any benefice with cure or otherwise incompatible, and to resign both, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleased, (ii) subsequently, to hold for five years with the precentorship of Lincoln and the archdeaconry of Northumberland, which have cure and are non-major dignities (both of which he was then holding, having resigned the said church), or with other two incompatible benefices, one other benefice with cure or otherwise incompatible.
