Collation and provision to him, by both parents of noble race, of the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 14l. sterling, of Lanforgond (also written Langforgond) in the diocese of St. Andrews, void and reserved by the death at the apostolic see of William Yhalulok; whether it be so void, or by the resignation of Laurence Pyot, clerk, made in the Roman court, or in any other way; notwithstanding that he (who lately, when holding the archdeaconry of Caithness, which is a non-major dignity with cure, received papal dispensation [above, p.79] to hold for life the said archdeaconry, even if elective, and another incompatible benefice or, if he resigned the archdeaconry, to hold for life two other benefices incompatible with one another, and resign both, simply or for exchange) holds the said archdeaconry, that he has gained in the Roman court a definitive sentence, which has not yet become res judicata, about a canonry of Moray and the prebend of Croy therein, which has cure, and that the pope recently granted him provision of the canonry and prebend of Kylmichil in Ross, previously reserved, value not exceeding 20l., 10l. and 7l. sterling respectively. He is hereby dispensed to receive the said vicarage and hold it for seven years with the said archdeaconry and with the said prebend of Croy, if he win it, during which period he is to exchange the archdeaconry for a benefice compatible with the said prebend of Croy and vicarage; and after the end of the said period to hold the said prebend of Croy and archdeaconry (?rectius vicarage), and to resign them (illasque), simply or for exchange, as often as he wishes, and hold instead for life two other incompatible benefices. VII, pp. 558, 559], provision to be made of the perpetual benefice without cure called the rectory of rural lands of Dachorand and Muta in the diocese of Achonry, which takes its name from no church, but whose holder is wont to receive part of the tithes in divers parishes—the said benefice, value not exceeding 25 marks, void by the death of Odo Oconchubare, a clerk; summoning and removing Donald Macdonnchaid, canon of Achonry, who has unduly detained possession for more than seven years (under pretext of papal letters in which it was falsely stated that the said benefice had cure and that it was void because the late Bernard Macdonnchaid had held it for more than a year without being ordained priest), and on account of whose power Cormac has no hope of obtaining justice in the city or diocese of Achonry; whether it be void in the way stated, or because the late Bernard Macdonnchaid entered and made his profession in the Friars Preachers’ house of Slygeach in the diocese of Elphin, or in any other way; and notwithstanding the pope has lately [see the preceding mandate] granted him provision of the perpetual benefice, also without cure, called the rectory of Mynbrisg alias
