Collation and provision to him (who is a priest, and who has been sent by Henry, bishop of St. Andrews, to the apostolic see, and who lately had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold one, two or three mutually compatible benefices with or without cure, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleased) of the parish church of Kynel in the diocese of St. Andrews, value not exceeding 40l. of old sterlings, void and reserved by the death of Thomas Liel, a papal chaplain; notwithstanding that he holds the perpetual vicarage of Batheath in the same diocese, value not exceeding 20l., and that the pope has lately granted him provision of a canonry of Glasgow with reservation of a prebend and of a benefice with or without cure in the gift of the bishop and the prior and chapter of St. Andrews. He is hereby dispensed to hold Kynel and the above vicarage together for a year, after which he is to resign the vicarage. Collation, as below, of the perpetual vicarage of Killeny in Nabayr, in the diocese of Kilfenora, value not exceeding 3 marks, which became void and reserved to John XXIII by the death of Matthew Ocondbaith at the apostolic see, in ignorance, perhaps, of which reservation Richard, archbishop of Cashel, by his authority as metropolitan, made collation and provision of it to John, who had previously, when in his eighteenth year, obtained the rectory of Carudnahymigean de Ybflathmat in the same diocese, and who has held both rectory and vicarage together for several years without having himself ordained priest and without dispensation. The pope, who has by other letters rehabilitated John and required him to resign both rectory and vicarage, which he has done this day to the pope, makes collation and provision to him of the said vicarage which, inasmuch as John XXIII was deposed before he had disposed of it, still remains reserved, the above collation by archbishop Richard having no force. Mandate to collate and assign to Donatus Omadagayn, clerk, of the diocese of Annadown (who has studied canon and civil law for some time, and lately had papal dispensation, as the son of an unmarried nobleman and an unmarried noblewoman related in the fourth and fourth degrees of kindred, to be promoted etc. as above, f. 69, and was subsequently dispensed by the present pope, after he had ordered provision to be made to him of the archdeaconry of Annadown, a non-major dignity with cure, value not exceeding 8 marks, which is insufficient for his support, to hold the same), the rectory of the parish churches (whereof the cure has been wont to be exercised by perpetual vicars) commonly called of Muntirmurchuga, in the diocese of Annadown, value not exceeding 12 marks, which rectory became void by the death of Maurice Oflathartaich.
