1421. 9 Kal. April. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 132.)	To the archbishop of Bordeaux. Refusing the pope's assent and authority to certain articles agreed to by the archbishop of the one part and the mayor, sub-mayor and jurats of the other part, concerning the jurisdiction and liberty of the church of Bordeaux, immediately subject to the pope and the Roman church, which articles the pope considers insufficient. Against encroachment on the said jurisdiction and liberty he wrote last year to the sub-mayor and jurats, and also wrote to king Henry requesting him to aid in expediting the matter. If without delay the said church and its diocese be restored to their former liberty and jurisdiction, the pope gives his consent to the said articles: if not, he decrees them null and void, and will proceed against those who encroach on the said jurisdiction. Dudum iura ecclesie.

6 Non. Oct. S. Maria Maggiore, Rome. (f. 256.)	To Urban de Florencia, clericus redditus, (fn. 1) dwelling in the Carthusian house of Santa Croce, Rome. Licence to betake himself to the presence of Henry, king of England, who for laudable causes desires to have converse with him, and has written to the pope to that end. Cum carissimus in Christo.

1422. 16 Kal. March. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 328.)	To patriarchs, etc. Requesting safe-conduct, during six months, for Urban de Florencia, a Carthusian, bearer of these presents, whom the pope is sending to France and other ultramontane parts [not named] on business of the pope and the Roman church. Cum pro aliquibus. [See below, Reg. Vat. CCCLIV, f. 161.]
14 Kal. April. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 330.)	To patriarchs, etc. Requesting safe-conduct, during one year, for Nicholas, bishop of Bologna, whom the pope is sending, on business concerning the peace and tranquillity of France, to kings Charles and Henry, Charles dauphin of Vienne, king Charles's only son, and Philip, duke of Burgundy. Cum pro nonnullis.
