Mandate to collate and assign to Thomas Saleys alias Cristour, priest, of the diocese of Limerick, if found fit in Latin, the still void perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 12 marks, of Garthbiboys in the said diocese, as he doubts whether his presentation, on its voidance by the death of William [son] of Thomas Ymalcorkra, by its ancient patrons the Augustinian abbot and convent of St. Mary's, Keynsham, in the diocese of Bath, to, and his institution by, bishop Cornelius, hold good. To the abbot of Westminster. Decree giving retrospective force to, and sufficing as proof of, with mandate to execute, the mandate of Alexander V, dated 2 Id. Sept. anno 1 [1409], ordering a certain judge to collate and assign to John Grendon, rector of Hamuldene in the diocese of Lincoln, the then still void canonry and prebend of Blybury in Salisbury, value not exceeding 100 marks, which he had obtained—on their voidance by the death at Pisa of Angelus, bishop of Ostia, vice-chancellor of the holy Roman church, who held it by grant of the apostolic see, after the cardinals withdrew to Pisa from Lucca and from Angelus Corario, called Gregory XII—by presentation of Walter Grendon, prior of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England (the presentation belonging, by special privilege of the said see, to the prior for the time being), and by institution of bishop Robert; inasmuch as he doubted whether the said presentation and institution held good, and notwithstanding that he held the said church, value not exceeding 80 marks. To the bishop of Civitaten., the dean of Armagh and the archdeacon of Kilmore. Mandate to collate and assign to Peter Maguydir, priest, of the diocese of Clogher, who has studied canon and civil law for about three years at Oxford, and for seven years in schools which are not universities (particularia seu privata studia), the still void rectory, value not exceeding 20 marks, of St. Fergus's, Iniskayn, in the said diocese, collation and provision of which he—who had had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, nobles, related in the fourth and fourth degrees of kindred, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, after which he was ordained priest—obtained from bishop Arthur upon its voidance by that bishop's deprivation of Patrick Oheogayn. He doubts whether the collation holds good. The collation is to be made notwithstanding that Peter lately, without dispensation, was admitted as a canon of Clogher, in which church, although there is a fixed number of canons, there is no distinction of prebends, and the canonries have no fixed rents.
