or by subsidy, join the present Crusade, and faculty to convoke
clergy and people to any fit place, and to grant indulgences—the
nuncios themselves of a hundred, their commissaries of forty days

Caputgrassis, of Sulmona, etc., as above, nuncios in England. Mandate to exact, during three years, a tenth, which the pope
hereby imposes, of all ecclesiastical rents etc. in England, for
the prosecution of the war against the above Ladizlaus de
Dirachio and his followers and adherents, enemises of the church. From the said tenth, half of which is to be paid at Easter, beginning at Easter next, and half at Michaelmas, and
which is to be paid in current money of the realm, as far as
possible according to the taxation made there by papal authority
for the tenth, and elsewhere according to custom, only the rents
etc. held in England by cardinals, by Francis, archbishop of
Narbonne, papal chamberlain (camerario), and by the orders of
the hospitals of St. John of Jerusalem and St. Mary of the
Teutons, are to be exempt. Chalices, books and other church
ornaments are not to be taken as pledges or otherwise, in accordance with the constitution of the Council of Vienne on this
