1399. 5 Kal. Nov. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 36.)	To all priors of the Hospitallers, especially of Almain, England, Bohemia, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Rome, Venice, Lombardy, etc., and to the preceptors of Naples, etc. Mandate to proceed to the election of a master in the chapter which the pope has ordered to be held at Rome or wherever his court may be on All Saints Day 1400, and to treat about the reformation of their religion. Dum preclara merita.

2 Id. Oct. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 56.)	To the bishops of Monopoli and Raphoe, and the archdeacon of Clogher. Mandate to collate and assign to David Magoband, clerk, of the diocese of Clogher, who has had papal dispensation as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman to be promoted to all, even holy, orders, and hold a benefice with or without cure, the canonry and prebend and deanery of Clogher, value not exceeding 20 marks, which have become void by the death of John Omolodon. He has hereby the necessary dispensation. Vite ac morum. (Pro Deo.)

9 Kal. Nov. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 115.)	To William Claypole, perpetual vicar of Askywykym, in the diocese of Norwich. Provision of the said vicarage, value not exceeding 20 marks, void and reserved to the pope, because Nicholas Stangren has obtained the rectory of Lynge, in the same diocese, by papal collation; notwithstanding that William holds the church of Fawkam in the diocese of Rochester, value not exceeding 20 marks, with which he has hereby dispensation to hold for life the said vicarage or other benefice with cure, and to exchange both as often as seems good to him for two similar or dissimilar incompatible benefices, even if elective dignities with cure, major or principal respectively, personatus or offices in metropolitan, cathedral or collegiate churches. 13 Kal. April. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 157.)	To the bishop of Concordia and the priors of Bokenham and Thetford. Mandate to collate and assign to William Gera[r]d, priest, of the diocese of Norwich, the church of St. Peter, Heydon, in the same diocese, value not exceeding 40 marks, void by the death of Roger de Alysham, alias de Causton; whether it be void by Roger's death or by the irregularity of John de Tynetasale (sic), or otherwise, and even if a suit be pending between William and John, who, or any other unlawful detainer, is to be removed. Reservation to him—who has already had papal dispensation as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman to be promoted to all, even holy orders, and hold a benefice even with cure—of one or two benefices, not being a cathedral canonry and prebend, value not exceeding 25 marks if one have cure or 18 if neither, in the common or several gift of the bishop and the dean and chapter and each of the canons and persone of Ardfert, and the Augustinian prior of Killaha (de Bello loco) in the same diocese. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Monopoli, the precentor (cantori) of Ardfert, and Nemerus Odalyd, canon of the same. Vite etc.
6 Kal. June. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 217.)	To Theobald Brun, clerk, of the diocese of Ardfert. Reservation of a benefice, value not exceeding 25 marks with cure or 18 without, in the common or several gift of the abbot and convent of St. Thomas the Martyr without the walls, Dublin. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Monopoli, the dean of Kildare and John Fox, canon of Dublin. Vite etc. (Pro Deo.)
Non. April. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 225.)	To Walter Holdernesse, priest, of the diocese of London. Reservation of a benefice, not being a canonry and prebend in a cathedral church, value not exceeding 100 marks with cure or 60 without, in the common or several gift of the bishop and chapter of Norwich and the abbot and convent of St. Albans. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Telese, the abbot of St. Mary's, West [D]erham, and the prior of St. Mary's, Walsyngham. Vite etc.
17 Kal. June. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 227.)	To the prior of Christchurch, London. Mandate to reserve to John Janet, priest, of the diocese of Bath, if found fit after the usual examination in Latin, a benefice, value not exceeding 30 marks with cure or 18 without, in the common or several gift of the Benedictine abbess and convent of Shaftesbury, in the diocese of Salisbury.
