5 Id. Sept. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 51.) |
To the archbishop of Tuam, and the bishops of Clonfert and Kilmacduagh. Mandate to collate and assign to James Ohurayn, canon of Clonfert—who has had papal dispensation, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman related in the third and third degrees of affinity, to be promoted to all, even holy, orders and hold a benefice even with cure— the perpetual rectory of Dummor of lay patronage, value not exceeding 15 marks, in the diocese of Tuam, so long void—by reason that James Cachyr, holding the deanery of Tuam, a dignity, obtained and held, as he still does, the same therewith for more than a year, without dispensation—that by the Lateran statutes it has lapsed to the apostolic see; notwithstanding that the pope has recently made provision to Ohurayn of a canonry of Clonfert, with expectation of a prebend and dignity, even with cure, major and elective, which provision is, as far as regards such dignity only, upon his obtaining the rectory, to be null. Vite ae morum. (De mandato.) |
16 Kal. Aug. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 59.) |
To the official of Ardagh. Dispensation is hereby granted on account of his defect of age. Dignum arbitramur. (Pro Deo.) |

Mandate to collate and assign to Nicholas Ohohay, clerk, of the diocese of Meath, the church of St. Mary Lochscedi, in the same diocese, value not exceeding 40 marks, void by the resignation of Thomas Norwey, made to bishop Alexander. He has hereby dispensation to hold Dungarwan together with Moynachyghacha for three years, within which term one of the two is to be exchanged for a benefice compatible with the other; otherwise Moynachyghacha is to be resigned. Dignum arbitramur. |

Mandate to collate and assign to Thady Oscula, priest, perpetual vicar of Letyrluna in the said diocese, the perpetual vicarage of Keanety, value not exceeding 8 marks, in the same diocese, void by reason that Eugene Omenachayn held it for more than a year without being ordained priest and without dispensation. Dispensation is hereby granted to hold the rectory together with the deanery, a major dignity with cure. Dignum arbitramur. |
