1465. 6 Kal. Aug. (27 July.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 40d.)	To the dean and Donald Ohiarlachigh and Macrobius Oherdirsgeoil, canons, of Cork. Mandate to collate and assign to John Ohuallacham, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Killreran (recte Kilkeran) in the diocese of Ross (who was lately dispensed by papal authority on account of illegitimacy, as the son of a Cistercian abbot blessed (fn. 2) and an unmarried woman of noble birth, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, after which he was so promoted; and who holds the said vicarage, value not exceeding 6 marks sterling) the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Rymdroyn (also written ‘Rymdroin’) in the diocese of Cork, value not exceeding 12 marks sterling, of lay patronage, so long void, because James Cursi, after having obtained it by canonical collation, held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest, that by the Lateran statutes its collation lapsed to the apostolic see; summoning and removing the said James, who has detained it for between one and two years since the said lapse, without any other title. John is hereby dispensed to receive the said vicarage of Rymdroyn, and to retain it and his said vicarage [of Killreran] for life, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, when he pleases, etc., notwithstanding the said defect, etc. Vite etc. (P. and Alanus. 19 Kal. Sept. (14 Aug.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 119.)	To William Tode, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Kirkcalde in the diocese of St. Andrews. Collation and provision to him, who is a priest, of the said vicarage, value not exceeding 3l. sterling, void and reserved to the pope by the resignation to the pope of Michael Flucar, made at the apostolic see by his proctor John Balfur, canon of Aberdeen.Vite etc.

4 Kal. April. (29 March.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 155.)	To the prior of St. Mary's alias St. Tiernan's, Achmadheurit, in the diocese of Ossory, and Thomas Ornollmyhyll and Richard Ofiani, canons of Ossory. Mandate, as below. The pope has been informed by Dermit Ohiliy, clerk, of the diocese of Ossory, that John Olanru, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Raithdouhnaigh in the said diocese, after provision had been ordered by papal authority to be made to him of the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Scayrk in the same diocese, made an agreement with John Oduybgint, (fn. 3) priest, who was detaining the said vicarage, that if Oduybgint would give him a certain sum of money or certain other movable goods, he would give up in Odwybgint's favour all his right in or to the said vicarage: that he gave up the said right, and received from Oduybgint the said money or goods, thereby incurring the sentences etc. provided for simony; and that he does not reside at the said vicarage, and neglects the cure of souls of the parishioners, to the shame of the clerical order. The pope therefore hereby orders the above prior and canons, if Dermit (who notwithstanding his illegitimacy, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, has been made a clerk) will accuse Olanru before the said three, to summon him and others concerned, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, of lay patronage and value not exceeding 10 marks sterling, to Dermit; whether it be void by such deprivation and removal, or by the resignation of the late Thady Micgillaphadraig or of the said John Olanru, or in any other way. The pope hereby specially dispenses Dermit to receive and retain the said vicarage, notwithstanding the said defect, etc. Vite etc. (H. and Alanus. \| H. xiii. Residuum gratis pro deo. Juravit. 17 Kal. Oct. (15 Sept.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 248.)	To the bishops of Treviso (Teruisin.) and Silves (Siluen.), and Thomas de Forsythe, canon of Glasgow. Mandate to collate and assign to David Nobil de Ryc[h]kyntolaich (fn. 4), perpetual vicar of the parish church of Rychkyntolaich in the diocese of Glasgow, M.A., of a noble race of barons, the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Cader in the said diocese, with cure and value not exceeding 15l. sterling, void by the death of Robert Penuene. The pope hereby specially dispenses him to retain for three years, together with that of Cader, his said vicarage of Ryc[h]kyntola[i]ch, which also has cure and whose value does not exceed 10 marks sterling.
