Footnotes

  • 1. On the back of the volume is the usual modern description in Latin: 1464. An. 1. Pauli II, and on a modern end-paper is Mgr. Wenzel's ‘An. 2.to. 12.’ On a contemporary end-paper (which with ff. i. and ii., concerning the dioceses of St. Malo and Béziers, is almost completely torn out, f. iii. being also partly destroyed), is a fragment of the centemporary description:Quartus de …… domini Pau ……, as well as of the usual order to the rubricator, viz. R(ecipe) …., and a trace of what was presumably the R of ‘Rubricatus [est].’ The full contemporary description is preserved, as usual, on the bottom edge of the volume, viz. Quartus de Regularibus anno primo domini nostri domini Pauli pape ii. There are ff. i.—ccclv. of text (some of them blank), + f. ccclvi. blank. The Register contains nothing within the scope of the present Calendar.
