Vatican Regesta. Vol. DXXII. (fn. 1)

[Gracie] Expectative in Francia.

4 Pius II.

Footnotes

  • 1. On the back of the volume is the usual modern red leather label, with: ‘Pii ii. Expectat. Tom. iii,’ and on the bottom edge of the volume is the contemporary description: ‘iiius. Expec. Var. Pii.’ There are 8 pp. of the same kind of very brief Rubricelle as in the preceding two volumes, headed: ‘Rubrice huius libri.’ The contents of the volume are similar to those of the two preceding volumes, being again of the 4th year and concerning benefices in France. One bull does not concern France and is therefore wrongly registered in this Register, as is pointed out in the margin of the Rubricelle by the note: ‘Hic registrata per inadvertentiam registrantis.’ There are ff. i to ccclxxxxii of text, at the end being the usual ‘Gaspar Blondus.’
