To the bishop of Orvieto, the abbot of Fearn (Noveferne) in the diocese of Ross, and the chancellor of Ross. Mandate to collate and assign to John Ferne, clerk, of the diocese of Ross, who was lately dispensed by papal authority, on account of illegitimacy as the son of a clerk and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, the perpetual vicarage of St. John Baptist's, Foreti, in the said diocese, value not exceeding 9l. sterling, void by the death without the Roman court of Alexander de Dynguayl.
