LIST OF MAPS AND PLANS

All the maps and the Devizes street plan were drawn by K. J. Wass of the Department of Geography, University College, London, from drafts prepared by Elizabeth Crittall, Janet H. Stevenson, D. A. Crowley, and A. P. Baggs. They are based upon the Ordnance Survey with the sanction of the Controller of H.M. Stationery Office, Crown Copyright reserved. The parish and tithing boundaries on the hundred and parish maps are taken from the tithe maps of the earlier 19th century. Thanks are due to Mr. R. E. Sandell and Miss Winifred M. Evans for help with the preparation of the hundred map.
