NONCONFORMITY

One Independent was reported in 1728, (fn. 1) as were 3 or 4 'lower-class' dissenters in 1807, (fn. 2) and 25 in 1873, reduced to 7 by 1897. (fn. 3) The parish never contained any organized congregation or meeting house.
