68. Mayor of Bristol to the Earl of Salisbury. Certain goods
belonging to Bristol merchants have been taken by Capt. Jennings,
a pirate, and carried into Baltimore. The Lord President of Munster
ordered them to be transported to Bristol, which is done, but some
were taken away by Capt. Williams of the Tremontane; requests
their restitution. |

69. Sir William Bowyer to the Same. Being in attendance on
Lord Dunbar in Scotland, he deputed him to meet Sir Wm. Godolphin,
at Berwick, and conduct him to Edinburgh. Godolphin pleased
with the mines. Could not obtain workmen to get stones at Ber-
wick for Salisbury, till Dunbar ordered three or four to be spared
from the works on the bridge and castle. |

Since leaving that county, he is informed that Sir Wm. Dyer was
the person who killed the great stag, which had been preserved for

Sir William to repair to Court. |
