The Earl of Manchester reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Lord High Treasurer of England, or Commissioners of the Treasury for the Time being, to compound with John Ferrar Esquire, for a Debt due from him, as Surety for John Mason Gentleman, late Receiver General for the County of Cambridge and Isle of Ely," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

The Earl of Manchester also reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Trustees, Part of the Estate late of Thomas Harlackenden Bowes Esquire, for Payment of the Debts and Legacies wherewith the said Estate is charged; and for preserving the Residue, clear of all Charges, for the Benefit of Thomas Bowes Esquire, an Infant," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Harnage versus Barrington;
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Richard Harnage, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Eleventh Day of June last past, and an Order of the Seven and Twentieth of November, for confirming the Decree on the Behalf of Mary Barrington Widow; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree and Order: As also upon the Answer of Mary Barrington put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:
Judgement affirmed.
It is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Richard Harnage shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree and Order therein complained of shall be, and they are hereby affirmed: And it is further ORDERED, That the said Richard Harnage shall pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said Mary Barrington, the Sum of Forty Pounds, for her Costs, in defending the said Appeal in this House.
Answers to Observations of Commissioners of Accompts:
Mr. Phillip Papillion, late Cashier of the Victualing, delivered his Answer, at the Bar, to so much of the Report and Observations of the Commissioners, for taking, examining, and stating, the Public Accompts of the Kingdom, as relates to him; and then withdrew.
Mr. Wm. Bourk, late Agent for victualing the Navy, at Leverpool, delivered his Answer, at the Bar, to the Observations made by the Commissioners of Accompts, for taking, examining, and stating the Public Accompts of the Kingdom; and then withdrew.
Committee to consider of them.
Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Report of the Commissioners, appointed by One Act of Parliament, passed Primo Annæ Reginæ, intituled, "An Act for taking, examining, and stating the Public Accompts of the Kingdom, delivered into this House, on the Two and Twentieth of January last;" as also the Answer of the Earl of Orford and several others, put in thereunto; whose Lordships, having considered of the said Report and Answers, are afterwards to report their Opinions thereupon to the House; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Saturday next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
