To the bishop and chapter of Lichfield. Mandate to revoke the statutes made by bishop Walter in his visitation in the time of the late dean, John de Derby, touching the deanery of Lichfield, whereby the present dean Richard, S.T.P. has been much harassed during his absence at the papal court, if they are unreasonable: as by them he is obliged to say mass in person on the greater double feasts or find a canon to do it for him, and if not present in person to entertain the ministers of the church in his house, and on the four principal feasts of the year to treat (convivare) the whole choir, inviting the canons separately, for eight days beforehand.
