PRAYERS.

The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further prorouging of the Parliament."

Then the Lords Commissioners, being seated on a Form, placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Keeper in the Middle; the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury and the Earl of Bradford on his Right Hand; the Lord Bishop of London and the Lord Granville on his Left Hand; commanded the Deputy Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "That the Commissioners desire they would be present, to hear the said Commission read."

Who being come, with their Speaker; the Commission was read, as followeth:

Then the Lord Keeper said,

Parliament prorogued.

"My Lords and Gentlemen,

"By Virtue of Her Majesty's Commission now read, and to us directed, we do, in Her Majesty's Name prorogue this Parliament to Tuesday the Ninth Day of this Instant November: And this Parliament is prorogued accordingly to Tuesday the Ninth Day of this Instant November."
