The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of the Parliament."

Then the Lords Commissioners, being seated on a Form placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Keeper in the Middle; the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Earl of Nottingham, and the Lord Bishop of London, on his Right Hand; the Earl of Stamford and Lord Dartmouth on his Left; commanded the Deputy Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, That the Commissioners desire they would be present, to hear the said Commission read."

Then the Lord Keeper said,

Parliament prorogued.

"By virtue of Her Majesty's Commission now read, and to us directed, we do, in Her Majesty's Name, prorogue this Parliament to Thursday the Fourth Day of November next: And this Parliament is prorogued accordingly to Thursday the Fourth Day of November next."
