Stevenson versus Hamilton.

Upon reading the Petition of Hans Stevenson Esquire and Anne his Wife, Respondents to the Appeal of James Hamilton and Hans Hamilton; praying further Time for answering to the said Appeal, he being but lately come out of Ireland, and his Writings and Depositions being long:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby further Time allowed them for answering thereunto, until Friday the Seven and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, at Eleven a Clock.

Maddison to enter into a Recognizance.

Upon reading the Petition of Peter Maddison; shewing, "That Alan Maddison Clerk and Mary his Wife brought an Appeal into this House from Ireland; that the Appellant, living in Ireland, cannot enter into Recognizance as usual; and praying, that he may enter into Recognizance for him, the Petitioner being his Brother:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath hereby Leave given him to enter into a Recognizance for his Brother, as desired.

Message from H. C. to return Wightwick's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Paget and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the vesting and settling divers Manors and Lands of Francis Whightwick, an Infant, lying in the County of Stafford, in Trustees, to enable them to settle and convey the same, upon the Marriage of the said Francis Wightwick, to such Uses, Intents, and Purposes, as shall be agreed upon;" and to acquaint their Lordships, that they have agreed to the said Bill, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which Amendments were read Thrice, and agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Harris versus Attorney General & al.

Upon reading the Petition of Her Majesty's Attorney General, George Parker Esquire, and others, Respondents to the Appeal of William Harris; shewing, "That Tomorrow is appointed for hearing of the Cause; and praying, that the Hearing thereof may be put off until all Parties concerned have answered, especially the Attorney General, who is concerned for the Crown."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause on Friday the Seven and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, at Eleven a Clock; and that, in the mean Time, the Appellant do serve Her Majesty's Attorney General with the Order of this House, in order to his answering to the said Appeal.

Dent versus Sir W. Buck.

Added, per Order, 27 Martii, 170s.

After hearing Counsel upon the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Dent Doctor in Divinity, Complainant in the Court of Exchequer, against Sir William Buck Baronet, William Walker, alias Walcott, Edward Kitchen, Thomas Jervase, John Young, Thomas Sheppard, Joseph Smith, Richard Clifton, John Rawlinson, John Garland, Timothy Lacy, Richard Rastal, and John Eagle, Defendants, from the Dismission of the Petitioner's Bill in the Exchequer Chamber, made and pronounced the One and Twentieth of February One Thousand Seven Hundred, and affirmed upon a Re-hearing on the Sixth Day of December last; as also upon the Answer of the said Sir William Buck, W'm Walker, alias Walcott, Edward Kitchen, Thomas Jervase, John Young, Thomas Sheppard, Joseph Smith, Richard Clifton, John Rawlinson, John Garland, Timothy Lacy, Richard Rastal and John Eagle, put in thereunto, and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

It is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Dismission or Decree made in the Court of Exchequer, and the Affirmation thereof, shall be, and they are hereby, reversed; and that the Agreement therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, set aside: And that the Court of Exchequer do proceed to hear and determine the Cause as to the Right of the Tithes in Question, notwithstanding the Agreement.
