MEMORANDUM, quod hodierno die (videlicet,) Vicesimo Tertio Aprilis, Anno Regni Serenissimi Domini Nostri Caroli Secundi, Dei Gratiâ, Angliæ, Scotiæ, Franciæ, et Hib. Regis, Fidei Defensoris, Decimo Octavo, in quem diem prorogat. fuit hoc præsens Parliamentum, convenere Domini tam Spirituales quam Temporales quorum Nomina subscribuntur:

Message to H. C. to come and hear the Commission read.

The Usher of the Black Rod was commanded, by the House, to signify to the House of Commons, "That their Lordships desire them to come up, with their Speaker, to be present at the further Prorogation of the Parliament, by virtue of His Majesty's Commission under the Great Seal of England."

The Commons being come, with their Speaker; the Clerk of the Parliaments presented His Majesty's Commission to the Lord Chancellor (being placed on a Form set across the House, whereon sat these Lords following, as Commissioners with his Lordship; (videlicet,) the Lord Privy Seal, the Lord Chamberlain, the Earl of Bridgwater, the Bishop of London, the Lord Arlington, and the Lord Lucas), who commanded the same to be read; the Tenor whereof followeth:

Octavo die Maii, Anno Regni Nostri Tertio Decimo, inchoari & teneri ordinavimus, À quo die idem præsens Parliamentum Nostrum per separales Prorogationes usque ad & in Vicesimum diem Februarii ult. præterit. continuatum suit, eodemque die idem Parliamentum Nostrum usque ad & in instantem Vicesimum Tertium diem Aprilis prorogatum fuerat, ibidem tunc tenendum & prosequendum: Sciatis tamen, quod, certis urgentibus Causis & Considerationibus Nos specialiter moventibus, idem Parliamentum Nostrum ulteriùs prorogandum duximus. De Fidelitate igitur, Prudentiâ, & Circumspectione, vestris plurimùm considentes, de Avisamento & Assensu Consilii Nostri, assignavimus vos Commissionarios Nostros, dantes vobis, & aliquibus Tribus vel pluribus vestrum, Tenore præsentium, plenam Potestatem & Auctoritatem, hoc instante die Lunæ, ad præsens Parliamentum Nostrum, Nomine Nostro, ad & in Decimum Octavum diem Septembris jam proximè futuri, usque Civitatem Nostram Westm. prorogandum & continuandum, ibidemque tunc tenendum & prosequendum. Et ideo vobis mandamus, quod circa præmissa diligenter intendatis, ac eâ in Formâ prædicta effectualiter expleatis. Damus autem universis & singulis Archiepiscopis, Ducibus, Marchionibus, Comitibus, Vice- comitibus, Episcopis, Baronibus, Militibus, Civibus, & Burgensibus, ac omnibus aliis quorum interest ad dictum Parliamentum Nostrum conventuris, Tenore præsentium, firmiter in Mandatis, quod vobis in præmissis faciend. agend. & exequend. pareant, obediant, & intendant, prout decet.
